The EEG XPressCC ServerTM software package is a comprehensive suite for creating and encoding ATVEF Type A data triggers (URLs), XDS Current Class & Channel Class packets and Closed Caption data on Line 21.
XPressCC ServerTM consists of three applications, the Playlist Server, Data Trigger Editor and Encoder Controller. The three programs can reside on one PC or on separate machines linked through a network. The Playlist Server defines the On Air Database (OAD) for the specified Netgroup encoders.
The Data Trigger Editor allows the user to edit and save the URL and XDS data for broadcast along with the House ID for the program to be closed captioned. The Encoder Controller program provides the link between the Playlist Server, the On Air Database and the Line 21 Data Encoder. It also provides the interface to a timecode reader card.
XPressCC ServerTM operates automatically in response to incoming video server time code. Both the start and end times, whether they are an offset or an absolute timecode, can be configured on a per URL basis in the Data Trigger Editor Program.
