CCPostTM Post Production Encoding of Closed Captions
The EEG CCPost™ software package is a comprehensive suite for encoding or recovering Closed Caption data in a post production environment. The package consists of two applications, CCPlay and CCRecord.
CCPlay™ is a complete solution for encoding closed captions in the video post production environment. The system combines the industry standard Smart Encoder product family with the CCPlay software, a Windows™ based application designed with a simple and intuitive user interface. The result is an accurate and reliable data delivery system capable of encoding CC1, CC2 and CC3 closed caption data. CCPlay accepts closed caption files in any vendor format and transmits captions to the encoder in response to incoming time code.
CCRecord™ accepts closed caption data from either an EEG Data Recovery Decoder or an EEG Smart Encoder III. The program reads time code from an Adrienne time code reader card installed in the PC and connected to the playback VTR. A time code stamped, text based caption file is created which can then be used for encoding via the CCPlay application.
