HD Closed Caption Decoder
The DE280 HD Caption Decoder is a professional EIA-708 closed caption decoder which produces broadcast quality open-captioned video for live or post production purposes. The DE280 also creates HD open caption display for monitoring data quality and standards compliance. The DE280 can be configured from the front panel to display caption data in HD Services 1 through 6, and all caption channels present in the EIA-608 compatibility bytes. The decoder has user-selectable fonts and opacity for easy caption reading, as well as transparent, accurate display of upstream encoded fonts, colors, and opacity settings.
The DE280 is built on a powerful processor platform to enable a wide variety of custom decoder-based applications. Additional applications and firmware updates are field-programmable using a USB port accessible from the front panel or by direct file transfer over the rear panel LAN connection.
