The DI480 Smart Encoder V is a next-generation digital closed captioning and XDS encoding solution designed to streamline and integrate the Line 21 encoding process into one powerful box. The DI480 comes equipped with all the functionality of EEG's industry standard 470-series Smart Encoders, is network-ready, and contains a new high speed microprocessor architecture capable of supporting full versions of EEG's popular CCPlay and XDS XPress software packages, eliminating the need for external control computers.
The DI480 is designed to be expandable and customizable for maximum performance and efficiency in any encoding environment. Software and hardware add-ons include file-based caption encoding from almost any caption file format, customizable GPI input and outputs, affiliate communications client software, and secure, internet-based live captioning. The DI480 provides a compact, robust platform for the applications you need, built right on top of the familiar, universally compatible Smart Encoder command set and interface.
