VBI Control Encoders & Decoders

The VBI Control System provides a convenient means of transmitting timely control signals along with the video signal. Its rugged signal quality assures reliable performance in harsh environments and is capable of direct transmission through compressed signal systems such as Digicipher IITM.
SDI VBI Control Encoder
Model DI304
The VBI Control Encoder provides a convenient means of transmitting timely control signals within a video signal via GPI inputs. Its rugged signal quality assures reliable performance in harsh environments and is capable of direct transmission through compressed signal systems.

System features included in the VBI Control System are :

  • Four independent control signals.
  • VBI line selectable from 14-20.
  • Front panel LCD displays encoded relay data.

The Model DI304 VBI Control Encoder can insert both control signals and message information into the selected VBI line.
VBI Control Encoder
Model EN304
The VBI Control Encoder provides a convenient means of transmitting timely control signals within a video signal via GPI inputs. Its rugged signal quality assures reliable performance in harsh environments and is capable of direct transmission through compressed signal systems.

  • VBI line selectable from 14-20.

  • Video loop through.

The Model DI304 VBI Control Encoder can insert both control signals and message information into the selected VBI line.
VBI Control Decoder
Model DE304
The VBI Control Decoder recovers control signals from an input video signal. The recovered control signals are converted to contact closures for control of up to 4 independent external devices.

System features included in the VBI Control System are :

  • Four independent control signals.
  • VBI line selectable from 14-20.
  • Front panel LEDs show decoder operation.
  • Video loop through.
  • Data port available on DE304 decoder.
