 The HD485 is a single rack unit HD/SD closed caption encoder which incorporates an on-board Microsoft Windows® PC for file-based encoding without an external control computer. This combination creates a powerful, flexible, full post-production closed captioning system in a single box. With HD and SD video paths, a time code reader, and a network-ready PC with software, the HD485 package includes everything you need for post-production encoding.
Specifically designed for the EEG CCPlay™ software suite, the HD485 puts an end to cabling and interoperability problems and offers a seamless and intuitive workflow for file-based captioning jobs. In addition to its new features, the 485 includes the same industry-standard closed caption and XDS data entry functions as previous Smart Encoder generations, available through two serial ports and a dial-up modem.
The EEG HD485 offers many highly useful features, including:
