Single Event Control of V-Chip, Interactive Links and CGMS-A

The EEG XDS XPress Lite™ software package is a comprehensive suite for creating and encoding ATVEF Type A broadcast data triggers and XDS Current Class and Channel Class packets on Line 21 in post production environments.

XDS XPress Lite™ consists of two applications, the Event Editor and the Encoder Controller. The two programs can reside on one PC or on separate machines linked through a network. The Event Editor allows the user to edit and save the ATVEF and XDS event Data. The Encoder Controller program provides the link between the Event Data File and the Line 21 Data Encoder.

The following EIA-744-A Current Class and Channel Class data types are supported:

* Program ID
* Length/Time in Show
* Program Name, Type, and Rating
* CGMS-A
* Program Description Rows 1 to 4
* Network Name
* Call Letters (Station ID)

XDS XPress Lite™ starts and stops encoding in response to manual user control. The XDS, ITV and CGMS-A functions are independent and can be enabled or disabled for different events.
